Three Months Later

This is a bit late, but I didn’t have a chance to post all weekend. My nephew turned three months old on Saturday. It’s so hard to believe three months have gone by! I still remember when I held him in the hospital like it was yesterday.

He’s grown so much in the past three months, it’s crazy. I don’t get to see him as often as I would like, but he still likes to smile at me! I haven’t gotten a good picture of him smiling, but he does. He was smiling at me before I got him out of the car seat last night when my parents and I met up with my sister and her family.

I was telling my brother-in-law last night that since he likes to eat, just wait until he’s a teenager. That’s when it dawned on me — all three will be teenagers before we know it! Oh, jeez… No, no, no! Slow down, time!

My nephew has gotten so big in the past three months. He’s definitely not the little tiny thing you see in the picture above. He can actually hold his head up now!

Well, I guess I’m done going insane about how fast time has gone by for now. Until Wednesday, why don’t you look at his picture and think about how cute he is? 🙂

Two Months Later

WordPress says it’s April 10… In Texas time, however, it’s April 9 for another 50 minutes. So. Here we go as an April 9 post.

Two months ago, my nephew came into this world. I can’t believe how much time has already gone by. Wasn’t it just yesterday that my family and I were headed out of town to see him?

Hard as it is to believe, it really was two months ago. It was on a Monday, and I didn’t get to do a post. That’s okay with me, though. I was holding a baby. You don’t disrupt Aunt KK (as Kendra calls me since she can’t say my name) when she’s holding a baby!

Time is flying by so fast, and it’s so hard to believe. Is it just me, or is 2015 flying by faster than all the other years? Even 2014 didn’t fly by so fast, in my opinion…

Maybe I’m just getting old. I’m not certainly not a teenager anymore!

I only get to see my nieces and nephew once a month most of the time, but once in a while I do get to see them more often. I was blessed enough to be able to see them on Easter Sunday, so I was able to sneak in having his picture taken close enough to being two months old.

I didn’t even realize what today was. It came up so fast! I will always be happy that he’s in my life. I may complain about the kids a lot, but at the end of the day, even though Sophia and Kendra don’t always do what they’re told, and I’m sure Little Benny will be the same way, I still love them. My nieces and nephew are still a big blessing in my life.

I guess I’m done gushing about how fast time has gone by. I’ll be back Monday to regularly scheduled whatever the heck I come up with. Until then, why don’t you take some time to gawk over an incredibly adorable two-month-old? 🙂

One Month Ago

I can’t believe it’s already been a month. It seems like time is just flying by faster and faster. It was just one month ago today that I couldn’t get a post up on Monday because I was in the hospital.

No, I wasn’t hurt. I wasn’t even the patient. I was a visitor. The patient was my sister. And her new baby boy.

That’s right, I was awaiting the birth of my nephew. I can’t believe it’s already been a month. Sophia and Kendra have grown up way too fast for my liking, and now Little Benny is, too.

If we’re being honest here, I love playing the aunt role. I love seeing this kid when I can. Unfortunately, my sister’s family lives three hours away and I don’t get to see him or my nieces as often as I would like to, but hey, I’ll take what I can get.

Of course, I had to spoil him rotten before he was actually born. I may or may not have blown most of a paycheck on baby clothes. So much for saving up for an editor. Whoops.

I can’t believe it’s been a month. Kids grow up way too darn fast, and it aggravates me, but I love that they do.

In Little Benny’s short life, his parents have already said that they’re moving. Wait, what? That means I have to go even longer without seeing this kid! Don’t get me wrong, I love that they get the opportunity to be stationed somewhere else (the proud dad is in the Army), but hey. I want to watch this kid grow up, dang it. Guess I’ll have to stick with pictures. Sigh.

Anyway, I got away from my point here. He’s growing up fast, and he’s so cute!

Well, I guess I’ve rambled on long enough. Wednesday, I’ll talk to you again about how I’m doing with my progress of becoming published. Until then…stay tuned! Oh, and look at the picture of the adorable one month old. 🙂
